An evil, wicked dragon who has the ability to create and control lightning, as well as mastering the art of dark magic over the years.
He was once friends with the sky dragon Ryuu but the two drifted apart when Ryuu became the guardian of the Yunmue and their land - Yin-Lei was always mischievous and somewhat unpredictable but as he spent more time alone to experiment with powers he became more aggressive and twisted, attacking villages and towns. Now he is obsessed with causing chaos, and after trying to target the Yunmue him and Ryuu are sworn enemies - it's not uncommon for the two dragons to quarrel (and have sassy bitchy arguments) before fighting eachother in the sky.
Been itching to draw this guy for ages, and I must say I'm very happy with how this came out. It's always nice to do more world-building and having a rival of Ryuu just seemed too perfect to pass up.
Expect to see more art (and vore, predictably) of this giant noodle!

I imagine the sass levels are off the charts when those two fight, but you can be sure Ryuu is the bigger diva of the two ;) I also imagine Ryuu playfully kisses Yin-Lei too just to wind him up even more!
Who knows when all this will get drawn but it's definitely in the pipeline c:

This is a properly dramatic piece, Enigma! These pieces depicting epic scenes are brilliant. The background, I'll start with. It looks like the heart of a storm; the perfect setting for such a ferocious dragon! The colour is right too. Matches Yin-Lei and since red is typically associated with evil, malevolence etc., you chose really well. A classic colour association which still works brilliantly.
As for Mr. Grumpy Noodles himself...wow, wow wow wow. I'm constantly amazed by how well you draw Easterns. All the practice with Ryuu has helped, I think! The colour combination of his scales and the fur (eyebrows and tail fluff and stuff...that's fur, right) remind me of the House of Lords. Classy, rich, even pompous is the impression I get. I suppose this can be extrapolated to that link often common in stories, where the rich are perceived as evil. And hey, red and gold is an awesome colour combination, so forget all of what I just said; it's just awesome. ^^
I haven't yet complimented you on this yet, but I really admire how you maintain the perspective throughout your artwork of Eastern dragons. That long shape must bring about difficulties in maintaining that perspective and drawing the details where they should be. I'm really impressed that you achieve this so convincingly. It helps a piece flow a lot better, required for drawing an Eastern dragon and it shows real skill.
Other little details I like? His lightning power, yes. You've captured that erratic, sharp wave of electricity really well. No nice smooth corners, haha. The glow it has on his body, ahh... You really know how to pick up on the highlights and shadows on the subject caused by other things in the piece. It makes the piece look rich, deep. If there is one thing I'd love to see from you in the future, it's adding a bit more texture to your dragons. The scales do have an effect and although your style is strictly realistic, conveying the texture of scales to just a small extent would bring something else to your work. Not being knowledgeable about digital media, the best I can do is liken it to traditional. I would apply the colours not in lines as if I was colouring fur, but in little circles, if you see what I mean. As I said, your style isn't realistic and so being overly attentive to the detail would detract from it, but suggesting the lines of the scales might be something worth trying.
Congratulations, you have fed my nightmares for a while. But as ever, you've achieved a great thing with this piece and welcomed to the world a very terrifying character, drawn exceptionally well as ever. ^^ I look forward to seeing more of him. c:

I agree about the scales, they could've added a nice touch - I've put them on Ryuu a few times and let's not forget my featured submission, so I know I'm capable of it - but to be brutally honest I'd been going back to this between work and other things and I couldn't stand to drag it out even longer. Bad yeen! Guess I can make up for that next time I draw Mr Angry Noodle ;)
As a side note red and gold are very traditional colours for Chinese dragons (for reasons including those you listed) and I've always been really interested in that so it was only a matter of time before it turned up in my art. The black is a nice contrast but lends itself well...plus it looks cool!
Thanks as usual bud! It's good you find him intimidating, that's what I hoped for, but you will be safe from him...just keep an eye on the sky for thunderstorms ;D
