This is by far the fastest I've ever had to draw something -- just one afternoon! (Totally normal for most artists, I know, but considering I usually only draw something once every couple weeks...) I was rushed for time because this is a gift for some Slovenian friends of mine who I'll be visiting tomorrow, and I leave tonight. They've been kind enough to let me stay at their places for the next week, so I drew them this as a thank you. I'm visiting three friends in different regions of Slovenia, so these are three things native to Slovenia: that incredibly blue flower (Gentiana clusii), the roe deer, and the kingfisher. A lot of amazing watercourses flow through the country as well, so I threw in some styliezd water. Forgive the messiness -- I definitely would've cleaned it up if I'd had more time. I just hope they like it! (And I hope I make it there without missing any layovers -- it's a long train ride from Hamburg...)
I printed out some extra copies of this in A4 (approximately 8.5" x 11") so send me a note if anyone is interested.
