I been working on this for a few hours and wanted to show some of the progress. I cropped the drawing to the to highlight what I done so far. Still need to tweet it but I like how my mouth details already. I can't wait to add all the slobber dripping from it. Shading is my favorite part. It gives the drawing 'depth' as it where.
I think I'm improving, albeit slowly. Still wished that GIMP could resize smudge brushes but I have gotten around most of the rest of its issues. Once I finished with this, I plan to make it my newest avatar.

I know, but the scale slider disappears for no good reason in the tool option area. I can select a different sized brush if I'm lucky there is one the size I want. Otherwise, I have to make do, which can be a pain. I did download a huge collection or something like 1800 brushes, so that helps even though most of them are the same size. That small variance is what I mostly use.
