Commission done for me by the lovely Shaku-Chan (http://shaku-chan.deviantart.com) of a Vanguard warrior. When commissioning an artist, I try and avoid giving them reference pics and instead just give a description, letting them put their own unique touch to the picture.
Am very happy with this one, it looks fantastic

I like it. The angular linework combined with the smooth-scale-like texture creates an interesting juxtaposition.
The spandex don't hurt none, either. ;)
Funny to say this, but this has an almost Ben10 sense about it compared to the other interpretations. And I'm astounded I can make that discrimination after having only seen two episodes and shitloads of Rule 34'd fanart of that show.

Hmm, you're the second person to tell me about this Ben10 thing. I'm all intrigued now, as I have no idea what that is. Shall check it out when I get home from work tonight. And hey, demonic alien space-lizards in spandex, how can you possibly go wrong?
When commissioning an artist, I prefer to just give them a description and see what they come up with based purely on that, without having seen any other artist's interpretation. This is why each commission usually looks so different from the rest. I like it You get some really cool takes that way, and also allows the artist to have the opportunity to put their unique style into play.
