Dear diary…
It’s been about a week.
There still remains one more culprit to the explosion. The news is still being rallied. The news said he or she is probably hiding somewhere on the island. Search teams have been mobilized to find the last guy.
School is back in session now, though. Only briefly. Six days from now, we start the Festival again.
…I still can’t believe that happened. The mess is still being cleaned up. I think we’re going to relocate for the festival. We have yet to be notified for the new location, but the festival is going to happen. It is tradition.
I’ve been stretching more now too. In preparation for more training, I’ve been able to stretch my legs wider than before! My mother tells me not to do that around classmates or anyone else. I can… understand that.
On top of everything though, nothing interesting has been happening…
Oh! Right, my birthday’s a month from now! In April! I’ll be 17 soon… I’m amazed I’ve got this far. And that only means a year until my heat cycle takes place then… I don’t know how this thing is going to happen or what’s going to happen… it sounds really bad but… I can deal. I can do it.
Actually, I need to let myself vent for a minute… My mother is being a little more bothersome now that the events of the explosion have been spaced out. She’s been worried about my safety more than ever. I never mentioned she talked about it a lot but she has been and it’s bothering me. I’m taking a martial arts to protect myself now. I’m not going to be talked to like I’m a little girl. I’m almost at the maturing age. Soon I’ll have a mate and then I’ll be on my own. I know what’s going to be happening. We’ve been over this goodness knows how many times…It’s so annoying.
I hope mom doesn’t find this. I won’t hear the end of it…
Weird… dad’s taking a little while longer to come home from work. He’s usually here by afternoon…
