[i]Cassandra wasn't normally one to pay attention to rumours and myths, but one in particular that she had heard often was starting to sway her mind. What she had been hearing often from strangers, friends and even her family was the myth that devouring someone with feats and talents greater than yours would have their blessings passed onto you.

Naturally, she thought many were exaggerating the extents healthy eating goes. A healthy meal keeps a healthy body. Few claimed to have been able to ascend their current state, and those who have had no proof of additional prowess, so the dragon girl thought nothing of it.

However, it never left her mind. Practicing and failing magic from time to time, unable to properly grasp or cast certain spells frustrated her. The thoughts festered in her mind with each consecutive mistake on her behalf. Watching her moogle brother cast spells she was completely unable to comprehend had her mind race.

"...if it is true, then... I could eat Ludash and absorb him and his power." But before she could even lick her lips in anticipation, her aim shifted upward towards the top of the ladder of magical prowess.

With her eyes set on someone more capable, she set off to find and successfully devour one of the strongest magicians that crossed her mind. With Rydia hanging from her waistline, it was only a matter of time before all that power would belong to Cassandra...

...or so she hoped, anyway.
