Super special anniversary commission for
and
of their characters Ahna and Sam as characters from Game of Thrones. Though they are from rival houses - she from House Tully and he from House Bolton - they have decided to put love before all else (including their duty to their respective families) and meet in secret on the banks near Castle Riverrun.
Now, I watch the show, but have not read the books, so my understanding of this world and all the lore is shallow at best, but I did my best to keep stuff true to at least the show. Refs were either provided or yanked from Google image searching. >u< And yes, I'm aware I have his sword facing the wrong way...truth be told I had no idea there was a right or wrong way...and this is why my characters are rarely drawn with weapons. XD
Anyway, this was a good challenge and lots of fun to work on, and I already know from numerous facebook comments that the recipients are pleased with it - thanks again guys for choosing me to do art for your special day! ^.^ May there be many more happy years for the two of you! <3

Oh my gosh! I've said it many times before, and I'll probably be going on about it for a while yet, but I love, love, LOVE this! The detail and color work is amazing! And I just assumed the sword was caught on something and that's why it's facing that way.
Thank you for being so open to draw this for us! We've wanted to get something from you for so long, but we afraid our ideas wouldn't fit with what you normally draw, or that you'd say no thanks. We can't express fully how happy this makes us

It was my pleasure, anything that is sword-and-sorcery fantasy themed is always welcome in my gallery, so long as I can find good refs, so this was no problem! Thanks again and also for being such good buddies to me on facebook, I added you both for the most random reasons (minecraft and Dragon City lol) but you guys have turned out to be pretty awesome people. <3
I don't think I can put into words how much this means to the two of us. I'm still overwhelmed by how amazing this came out and I was so excited to see this when I came home yesterday from an exhausting day at work. ^^ Thank you so much for this, the kind words, and being an amazing friend on Facebook! It really means the world to Fen and I.
I really like this setting, and a Bolton being engaged with a Tully is not too far away in my eyes. No Bolton Lord would say no if his Son wants to wedd a Tully Lady. They are the a major House in the North and the Tullies of Riverrun are the Paramount Regents of the Riverlands afterall.
I also like the idea of the swords grip being the image of a "flayed Man". It is a really nice detail you added into the piece.
