Also known as Jalak Bali in it’s locale of Bali island of Indonesia, the Bali Myna is critically endangered as the only endemic vertebrate species of the island. There are only about a hundred birds in the wild, 1000 in captivity, and double that amongst the black market. They appear on the Indonesian 200 rupiah coin.
