The Cardinal Sins. The Deadly Sins. The 7 Sins. These are all names for 7 conveniently categorized sins to which we can easily recognize and avoid (if we're in the goal of avoiding them). Such ideals have always fascinated me, whether they be the Zodiac(s), elements, or what-have-you. Maybe that's why I like FMA so much. =3
This laid-back fellow is Sloth; while originally symbolized by a goat, I've decided to go with the lizard (in this case, iguana). First, some background: a story I'm conceiving is about a utopia that, long ago, attempted to separate the good from the evil, so that the peoples could live in happiness and peace. That capitol city eventually became a sanctuary for the denizens of that world, because in the process of separation, balance was thrown out off kilter, and the shadows and whatnot, eventually leading to a tangible war between light and dark. It came to pass that this utopia became a righteous bastion for all the innocent to live in harmony, while those who ate flesh (keep in mind this world in inhabited by anthropomorphic beasts) were kept just outside the city gates, for the darkness - strangely enough - made them go insane, unless among others like themselves.
After many generations, 7 of the "Carnies" made a pact with the 7 Dark Generals (Cardinal Sins), to infiltrate the peaceful city and retrieve the 7 Virtues (go look it up) locked away inside. One of them, Sloth, is represented by a lizard, whose true form is the vicious alligator/crocodile, a patient predator who can sit in waiting for hours on end for a hapless morsel to step in range of their horrible jaws.
Here, it's seen that his preferred piece of arsenal is the musket, or some other long ranged weapon, with which he can pluck off adversaries from a distance. His somber, bored look disguises his attentive, calculating eyes. He is feared, for his Way of Death involves, long, drawn-out pain that slowly whittles away at life until nothing remains.
