Furry101 Social tips - 9: Furry comic strip
OK, a bit egocentric, but I wanted to do the recursive picture joke.
There's a lot of furry comics out there that have poor art, unreadably small text and pretty much just are an excuse to draw bad nudity*, who manage to meet their strip deadline for a week and then update every [insert random number] days. Oh and the plots make no sense.
*As opposed to good nudity.

Actually Altermeta *was* good but then hit all the furry comic speedbumps:
- Characters based on friend's characters who de-friended and withdrew the right to use that character
- Caz got bored and the plot started to wander. He decided to make it "serious" which is the kiss of absolute death for a comedy strip.
- Did a full 100% re-boot where nothing but the name and the vague similarity of the species was retained.
- Can't get it together to get out a page more than once every two months.

The point he's trying to make is, don't set a schedule you can't keep. updating once a month is fine, as long as you SAY you're going to update once a month. Telling everyone you're going to update every other day and then not updating for three weeks kind of irks people. The timeline doesn't matter, it's whether or not you do what you say you're doing.
Basically it's a complaint about artists who have two poses: Side on and full frontal, who fill the panel with a ton of dialogue in eye strainingly small fonts, and who basically are doing their characters nude most of the time because it's all just poorly drawn fap-fodder to cover for the lame plot.
Not if the censor bars are a post ironic pastiche of themselves because censor bars take otherwise mundane details and make them more alluring through the use of taboo.
Orrrrrrr I forgot about them and added them in after I'd done the right hand side and forgot they wouldn't be there.
One or the other.

At first, I was deeply disappointed that I wasn't going to get my long anticipated and longed for Sunday dose of Cuprohastes humor, then I read what you wrote, and laughed with delight (and some good Sierra Nevada weed). I'm an Asper and hence tend to take satire completely literally. OK, I'm proud to say that I figured that this was satire well before the end:
