This is a doodle of my 6 month old kitten, Reuben.

Reuben's story:
Reuben was found outside and welcomed into my home when he was 3 months old. He was a healthy, shy, and sweet little boy. After a few weeks of being a part of the family, he developed a virus that caused conjunctivitis which was treated with a topical eye ointment and it slowly resided. One day, it bounced back, and this time it was worse than before. The tissue was so swollen that his eyes were pushed back and were bleeding. We went to the vet and they gave us some serum to use with the ointment we were using before. After a couple weeks of treatment, the conjunctivitis went away, but the poor boy had lost his eyes to it. They had been crushed by the inflammation and he was rendered completely blind. After a week of keeping the swelling down, he was taken to the vet to have his eyes removed and relieve him of the pain they were causing. He recovered amazingly and gets around like a normal kitten. He doesn't even act blind. It's amazing how quickly he has adapted to this change. He such a great boy and he never ceases to amaze me!
