When I first saw the Cartoon Network show Adventure Time where you see a boy with a talking dog in a post-apocalypse world, fighting off mutants and trying to hookup with many females... Sound like a story from "a boy and his dog" If you never seen or read this classic story then google it and you'll fine out what I mean.
