That is not the Big Fucking Gun I know. That is the "Bio Force Gun" from the atrocious Doom movie, starting Dwayne "I was only in this movie because people don't know Karl Urban" The Rock Johnson. It's a good sci-fi horror-action movie, but not a good Doom movie. Honestly, Doom is one of those franchises that doesn't deserve a theatrical adaptation.
Yeah. I'm just guessing it started off as something much different, but fairly late in pre-production, the decision was made to relate the movie (somehow) with the then-new game Doom 3... By only having the identifiable marks (Union Aerospace, Mars, and the United States Space Marine Corp, etc). The actual plot of the movie is about some kind of 24th chromosome, which either turns people into flesh-eating abominations (in place of demons from the dark depths of Hell, like the ENTIRE DOOM SERIES)... Or genetically enhanced super soldiers... I mean, the movie has a good concept and the ending even sets up a sequel, but, because it flopped (critically and at the box-office), no sequel was to be found. id, the developer and creator of Doom, if I remember correctly, stated that a more faithful adaptation of Doom was in pre-pre-production, but I don't know at this point, honestly... I mean, how do you adapt run-n-gun action involving demons and guns that LITERALLY MELT YOUR TARGET into a two-hour film? In contrast, either Valve's Half-Life or Left 4 Dead, maybe even P0rtat, would make great films, Half-Life for the fact that it's Half-Life, and has a great, in-depth story, L4D because it's a zombie movie, and those ALWAYS sell, and Portal because it could make a great sci-fi comedy.
"It's this place. It's hell. It always was."
Even now, I remember staring at the screen & going "...... Are you kidding me."
Also, a bit of trivia concerning the faithful adaption; Apparently, it was originally supposed to have Tommy Lee Jones as the marine. That's how long it's been in talks/pre-production for >.>

As a reminder to anyone that is interested.
This particular version of the BFG has -also- been put in the most recent ports of Doom as something that I have to assume was fan-made (At the very least it used to be something available on "Skulltag" among other stuff like a grenade-launcher, a Rail-gun, and a mini-gun which acted as a more powerful version of the Chain-gun).
However I should point out that I have really seen it everywhere... As in a ton of community made projects).
It's "real" name (probably still something given by the fans) is "BFG 2K"
Apparently it's not necessarily called "Bio Force Gun" either (Not even in the movie it was called like that if I remember correctly. I'm positive the guy still said "Big... Fucking... Gun" during that scene. I could be wrong however). If my memory still isn't betraying me it was the name given to the weapon in both Quake 2\3 and Doom 3.
Crappy Doom movie aside you did a good job here... I do however wish the line-art was a little less pixelated and more "clean" as your usual style.
(And gosh that fucking movie also screwed up the color of the actual projectile... It's supposed to be GREEN guys!! GREEN!! NOT BLUE!! GAH! >.<)
