WISTERIA IS BLOOMING.
Wisteria is practically my favorite flower. I love lilies and roses, but wisteria appears every spring and it covers everything-- just towers of purple and lilac and white. And it smells amazing on top of that.
It's not in full swing yet- the blooms are just opening now but you can see tiny violet bursts on the vines all over. It only lasts about a week- so I'll get to experience it all before I go out of town which is a HUGE relief because I was so worried it would ironically bloom as soon as I left.

Gosh I would give so much for a wisteria garden D8
In some magical futureplace where I live in Savannah and have an actual house I am hella going to try to get some wisteria to grow on the property. Probably try for lattice arch or something like that- but I don't know jack about wisteria in terms of taking care of it or setting it up so WE'LL SEE HOW SURPRISED I AM DOWN THE LINE.

There blooming all over the place here in Louisiana. There is a house down the road from me that has really pretty purple wisterias blooming now and gab I just want to go sit by it and read a nice book. Hnngh

Gosh that's so cool- I've always compared Louisiana, Savannah, and Charleston. Savannah holds my heart but I love that deep south, oceanside, Spanish moss-draped, garden city vibe. One house in my mum's neighborhood has an actual wisteria TREE. It's really short- only like three or four feet tall but it's kinda wide, and its grown by itself- not draped over a tree or bush. I don't know how the hell they managed to do that but I'm so jealous.
I'll probably be THAT creepy person and take a picture of it this year.

When I was a kid, it grew wild on our property in the woods. and there was one area that was like...a semi big clearing with tree overhang roof? and in the spring it became a GIANT CAVE OF WISTERIA...like..you could lay in it..
