Once a month Discovery Place hosts Science On the Rocks. Emerald City was the theme, and I spent a week and a half planning and working on an outfit. I retailored the hat and pants heavily, adjusted the bow tie, stitched the hat to the head, and the bow tie was safety pinned to the shirt (XL size, so I could duck my head behind it, and fit the neck inside). The glasses were the last thing I had put together, running on four hours of sleep, and cutting them on a laser/heat bending them with a heat gun.

The staff were awesome, and someone was kind enough to give Dodge a mascot sized wrist band. I participated in the costume contest and won a bag of stuff (IMAX tickets, drinking glasses, info about the current IMAX film, a shirt, and a bag).
