I sent my sketchbook to Japan with a friend. I was told Karabiner studied Navy Officer uniform photos and planned for 2 hours and drew for about 6 hours. No one wanted to draw on the next page in the book...

I only take an hour with my character sketches. But by contrast to my works Karabiner's is far superior. that is a brilliant work there.

I kept trying to remember what this reminded me of and I finally did. It reminds me of this old sketch of my grandfather in his army uniform.

It's Karabiner's representation of my fursona in a Navy uniform. I am a commander, and he did a beautiful job on the service dress blues. The emblem on the hat is wrong, but I still think it's great. I've sent him more than a few gifts since then.
