Big Bart started at as a homely little Breyer Mini Whinnie drafter born from mix parents that neglected and hated the little runt of a horse. It was at that time I saw the little one and decided that, with the right use sculpting and acrylics paint, this horse could be a real contender. And a real challenge his height is 1 3/8 long x 2 inches long.
Using Fixit Sculpt, he received a new, thick arched neck with a nice masculine chest, new free flowing mane and tail, and a more roman nose! He was painted in Acrylics with pastels to a nice highly detailed grullo roan complete with corn spots and plenty of chrome! Frog details have been painted on the bottom of his hooves. He has tons of other neat details including tri colored eyes (even though they are no bigger than the head of a pin) corn spots, sun bleached tips on his mane and tail, skin wrinkles, hoof stripes, chestnuts and much much more. Technically he is a gelding, but shows well as a stallion.
And so after an extreme make-over Big Bart was born.
He already has one first place in the Fallen Leaves Micro challenge for the Dilute Category photo show and has taken 3rd place against customized stalemates, a much bigger horse.
So when you look at the picture remember he is 1 3/8 inches by 2 inches long.
