That name is actually much more apt for my OTHER unit of trueborn...who have their masks swapped from this design :V All the blasterborn have a harlequin mask like that, and the dracon has a reaver mask.
But I digress. Here are my lightly-customized kabalite trueborn, the ranged core of my army :3 I wanted them to be a little more personalized than regular kabalites, so I used wyche and reaver bits, and I made the blasters myself out of spare blast pistols and shredders (because who uses shredders, am I right [I'd actually like to try running groups of four-shredder trueborn]?)
Still open for Warhammer commissions, by the way :3

I have a Necron army. So I have gotten a hatred for Eldar Psychic in recent times X3
I actually have only ever played against a Dark Eldar army once. My Tyranids got clobbered! That was a few versions ago, so I might have an easier time now if they have gotten more difficult to play.

Wow, than I would have a great time playing against them! Necrons apparently got a slight buff to their reanimation protocols in the newest codex. I haven't had the chance to pick it up yet, though =I
But if you wound really easily, and I regen really easily, then that would become shenanigans real quick!

Again, my experiance with the newest Necron Codex was a review series that Miniwargaming did. So I am not that well educated in their newest stuff!
But I thought that the only change to the reanimation protocals was that they turned into more of a second feel no pain. But yeah, Wraiths absolutely wreck house if you can get a group close enough to engage in close combat. The 3++ helps, but its surprising how many times I have lost them before they could kill more than a group of troops!
I'm actually a little annoyed at what they did to the HQ section. They took out the whole "royal court" and made them all HQ's in and of themselves. So my group of Necron Lords that I JUST BOUGHT before I had to put them on hold are now basically never going to be used unless I want to go Unbound. I really want to pick up the new codex, but I really don't want to want to play because I have no one to play with :/

Okay, I have to ask. Red armor, white masks. Did you actually base this unit's paint job on the Shyguys from Super Mario Bros 2? ^0o^ Cause it kind of looks like you did, and that is a really cool idea. Of course, the flip side is that you need to take some old dice, use them as a base for a unit leader, cover them in green flock, and make it look like he/she's standing on top of one of those ball-stack cactus things from the desert levels...
That said, they look really nice. Never had a lot of luck painting white to look glossy like that. I've had a decent amount of luck getting it to have depth without inking, by building up layers of pale grey tones under it, but glossy white that looks like sculpted plastic or ceramic like that? Takes a lot of work.

It was actually just a happy coincidence x3 The rest of my dark eldar are red, and I wanted to use those reaver helmets. Everyone paints them silver, but I went with white, because that's the secondary color on my vehicles and monsters. The masks are just spares, because reavers are strangely hard to find, and I only had a small number of helmets left...
Oh, that said, last time I played against Dark Eldar was almost nine years ago. I was running my Artillery company (3 basilisks, 2 griffon mortars, a bombard, and 3 Armored Fist Squads) and took out their entire force in three rounds of VERY lucky shooting...
That meant taking out several transports, hellions, his entire command structure... by the end of turn three, the only things he had left were two Talos, both damaged.

To be honest, he didn't have fun, *I* didn't have fun, and I never ran that army again as a result. It is one thing to win a game that is challenging for both of you, and something else to completely obliterate your opponent so effectively that NEITHER of you actually have fun.

Huh. Never thought the DE went for bright colours. Well- derp, of course, this was likely done for shits n' giggles. But I also never knew DE armors went for the faceless face-covering mask, or masks at all. Thought they were like regular Eldar armor except spikier and sharper. Also,I never thought the... the... what are DE female gladiators called? Succubi? Didn't know they went for full armor, or guns.
Yeah dood, only a couple kabals (albeit the biggest ones) go with dark armor x3 The rest go for reds, metallics, and even teal. I just went with a bright red because I just happen to like the combination of bright red and white, and because it's unconventional for dark eldar. Also, the wyches tend to go with half-armor, but I combined them with kabalite and reaver armor for more personalized looks.
