He also wrote a story of this:
Jake pushed the glassed door, making a little sound of bells tingle as he stepped into the coffee shop. The AC immediately soothed his sore, hot body, making the hyena shiver a little. Spending 5 hours carrying furniture in the hot sun had changed his athletic body into a warm mess of sweat, concealed in a tanktop and jeans. He was here to get a drink, a change of clothes, and say hi to his boyfriend before returning to work.
“Hey!” Salem’s cheerful voice came from behind the counter, the cheetah leaning over to catch a look at his handsome mate, the hyena returning the smile and giving him a wave as he wiped some sweat off his face with his towel. “Hey babe, sorry I’m a mess,” he said apologetically as he walked to the counter, laying his strong arms along the formica. “No problem,” the feline replied, before reaching beneath the counter and putting the restroom key, attached to its oversized wooden prop, in Jake’s paw.
Jake pulled off every bit of clothing he had on in the restroom stall, letting his naked body breathe a little bit as he finished off sponging the sweat off, before pulling his change of clothes from his bag, slipping into a drier, more comfortable set. He slipped his fingers around the golden cross around his neck, stuffing it inside his t-shirt, folding the sweaty clothes back into the bag and exiting the bathroom. On the way back to the counter, he passed the key to another male, a fit wolf guy who grinned and winked at the spotted hyena as he walked by. Jake blushed softly, still a little phased by how direct these gay guys were. Jake was barely starting to openly admit he was dating another guy, he certainly wasn’t ready for anonymous coffee shop hook-ups.
Salem greeted him at the counter with a large iced frappucino with extra foam, pushing the cool paper cup into his boyfriend’s paws. “On the house,” he purred, making the hyena smile, before sliding a bill in front of the cheetah. “Nah, I’d rather pay, I don’t want you to get in trouble, babe,” he said, making the feline twink pout a little. Salem leaned over the counter, going for a kiss, but Jake dodged it, instead pecking the cheetah on the cheek, giving him a wink and a warm smile before walking out of the coffee shop.
Salem watched his boyfriend walking off through the glass doors with a soft sigh. The hyena stayed fairly conservative, despite them having lived here for a year, and the cheetah quickly shedding off whatever Christian reserve he might have, embracing their new life fully. The cheetah wondered if Jake even realized how many guys ogled him when he came into the coffee shop, or when they were walking together in the gay district. The hyena’s handsome, rough-edged appearance, mixed with the kindness that breathed through him turned more than a few heads on a daily basis. Lots of Salem’s friends were jealous of his catch.
He shivered softly, at the simple joy of his new life, then went back to serving customers and exchanging pleasantries, his tail swaying behind him. All was right in the world right now.
