There was a space ship that syphed data from computers to get information about the planet, so I though 'what could it find?'

actually it's not a tentalce monster, it's a living space ship anf the tentacles are digital. Google out 'Orga' (though you'll mostly get the monster from), or see on youtube.

Kaiju's (giant monsters, like Godzilla, King Kong or Cloverfield) are generally male, unless stated to be female, like Mothra, Battra, Biolante and are speculations about Megaguirus (hives usually have queens)
