The Great Duke of Lithuania, lord of Vilnius, a diplomat and a lover of everything Ruthenian (literally) Algirdas from the Gediminids dynasty and his proud and rash brother, Kęstutis of Trakai, the equivalent ruler of Lithuania.
(aka: two of my greatest and dearest children.)
Another part of my diploma. I was supposed to paint people who I adore most - the first rulers of Lithuania, the Gediminids dynasty and Mindaugas, the first and only king of this beautiful country. The other part of my project portrays the Piast dynasty, which's nowhere near perfect in comparision to this fascinating family, but still, I enjoyed painting them.
These are oil paintings, 50x70 cm each.
