[Tinplate Traction] Poor Man's Rectifier...
Update on my Williams GP9 to Rectifier conversion. Roof details removed, rectifier housings (made from old battery pack casings) and sheet styrene from parts packaging added. Next step: Drill holes for roof insulators, and then off to the paint shop!
Lionel New Haven rectifier shell shown for comparison. Doesn't fit on the GP9 chassis, though I was hoping it would... :)

I used to go to a club in a run-down old mall (OLD old mall), apparently they had never cleaned their tracks. There were places when the hand block wasn't enough, and I had to attack it with a Mouse sander.
They've since moved into the basement of our transportation museum, which is too inconvienent for me to visit regularly.
