It's a very beautiful image, even being as sad as it is. Pretty much everyone has dealt with these tangles, so we can take comfort in not being alone in that regard.

But c'mon, just scissors? Fire is soooo much more fun.

I don't think that a pair of scissors will help, and take this from someone who had to give up every friend he had growing up every time my dad got a new assignment. Instead I offer a big pair of arms and a equally big hug.

Get a stepladder to better see the tangle. You may be able to untangle it.

Theoretically, it's supposed to be better that you can see it run up and get tangled, instead of going up a bit and disappearing before it can be seen to go anywhere... theoretically....
