That is one thing that has always bothered me. I even had mandatory Japanese language and culture classes every day for two-and-a-half of those three years, but what little I managed to learn of the language gets harder and harder to remember. Granted, it has been seven years since I left Japan. I'm just grateful that the culture has managed to stay with me a lot more easily. Every now and then I STILL catch myself bowing.
