Would you believe I actually forgot I was supposed to be uploading junk? Whoops. |D
So, this is when I had gotten a firm enough grasp on sampling, slowly shaping my musical style over. Lead solos were an unfortunate side effect.
This was also another one of those songs that I'd gone back and remade - I think I made the original one in 2004, which is exactly where I'm going to leave it.
I'm gonna put it out there, I cleaned this song up pretty heavily before throwing it up here. The original samples were of poor quality (they were stretched and repitched in a really bad way, so I restretched and re-repitched them), and everything else was super-muddy (too much bass, weird panning).
It's still got a heap too much going on in it, but at least it's clean. :>
Okay I'm too tired to type up a decent description. Pink link leads to song!

Your sense of reverb and pan is just incredible.
Hell, I hope to be able to do this shit when I'm the same age as you...IN 2005.
Bassline and Drums are amazing. In my HIGH QUALITY DJ HEADPHONES, the bass just sounds incredible and the pan of different instruments is just too good.
There are some part where I start to think "Is there too much going on?" but then...
GOD DAMN IT, I JUST KEEP LISTENING TO IT.
