Okay, still got a few... "happy" things left before it's getting morbid in here...
When I went to Massachusetts I met a few interesting people. One of definite importance was this fellow I met at the bar, one of the times my dad sent me to get us some food while he watched mom. Yes, it was a bar that served Chinese food. Awesome invention. *grins*
I was waiting while they fixed it up and I was approached by this deep-voiced gentleman who sounded very out of place. As far North as we were, to hear a Southern accent was very unusual. At furst he thought I was a girl, which made the conversation interesting, but he was also an amazingly open minded fellow fur a country musician type. He reminded me so much of Johnny Cash, it was weird. I almost thought he was Mark Collie (hence the fursona) but, naw, I'm not that lucky. We talked about life, love and a few other things to do on the road up until mah food was ready and about 7 drinks later... Heh... At the time I was incredibly stressed, and a lil' broken hearted, and he was a really great listener... surprised I was...
Anywho, learned alot that day.
1) Grasshoppers don't agree with me NEARLY as much as they used to.
2) Guitar playin' country guys with black pinkie nails are awesome.
3) Men who sound like Johnny Cash are still as sexy as the original article.
4) Guitar players over the age of 45 have an amazing amount of wisdom if you're willing to listen to them after that awkward "Oh, you're a dude?" silence... Although I know, technically that's not the case, but *shrugs* who's counting...
5) Apparently, I'm the "Most stubborn fruit" he'd ever met. *chuckles* He meant it in a good way.
So yes... keep it in mind next time you're out and abouts. There's always someone out there who's going to find you as interesting and unusual as you do them, and if you're willing to listen, they are too.
And if you don't know who Mark Collie is, go find out. He's awesome.

Interesting. Bad Company's "Shooting Star" started playing just after I opened this. :P Also, might wanna take a look at this piece I also just found, tt seems it would suit some interests of yours. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1612795/
I have this habit of typing things in the tagline boxes on comments that just pop into my mind. "Bunyip" was there, so it landed. I think it was a monster in the old "Fiend Folio" of D&D 2nd edition... Occasionally, I'll throw things out in succession, like song lyrics or a conversation, like Nelson and I do. Sometimes it's odd what people will notice and won't....
To be honest, the strangest meeting was Christine, a fiery gal from the U.K. who looked in reality just like the fursona of a good friend on here, Kaiskune. Well, minus the foxy tidbits here and there, and give up some boobs, piercings and a series of tattoos. We hit it off incredibly well fur knowing each other so briefly, might've been much more to it, but I was in a bit of a state then. Had to be one of the most reflective afternoons I've ever had. SHE is actually the one who made me promise to never draw myself as "Depression" again. We're pen-friends now, and she's still just as much of a firecracker. I did some art fur her too, but it'll be a sec before I post any of it.
*grins, wary of tha known glomper* Thanks hun. I was gettin' a wee bit smashed around the time I left, so this was probably a pretty accurate assessment of me at the time. Fur a good idea of sound check, try and remember the talking skeleton from "The Last Unicorn"... that'd be about right I think.. *chuckles*
EEP! I been glomped! *laughs and fidgets*
Indeed she is! Washuu-chan is as adorable as she is brilliant, yes?
*chuckles* To not return a movie is a grevious offense, but to not return "The Last Unicorn" is punishable by pie-fight or lethal cheese sampling in at least a dozen countries...

Well, for one, it's a game you dont play in public, hehe, but it goes like this (s'for two guys usually) Line up ten shots of something tasty (vodka, whiskey, rum ext) ither as one drink, or a micture of drinks for veriety.
You then take turns pounding a shot, and then spinning five times on the spot while balancing the empty glass on your head. As you can imagen early on it's easier than after a few slams.
The first person, however as the game goes on, too ither fall over, or drop their glass, or cannot take another shot. Looses.
Said looser, is then made too take a "Special Shot" as their forfiet. This shot being giving oral sex too the winner, and "Slamming" their member for minutes equal too the total ammount of drinks drunk, or not drunk depending of which their is more of.
A game I've been reserving for someone special. And it's yours

Well, old definition being the Mason Dixon line, just about everything over Missouri on the U.S. part of the map usually falls under Northen Juris Potato fur me. Then again, if it's getting colder, it's getting Norther-er...urm... *brows knit* Hmmm......
I love the snow. It snowed there.

I ain't seen snow. Nah much, anyway. Being a southern kid, snow always meant problems, more than fun. Northern kids get to go out and play, cause it happens every year, and houses are built to withstand that. Round here, it's a huge problem with the weather even GETS cold enough for it to snow, so... snow has never been good to me.
Part of what I love about living in the Ozark mountains is the snow. It's still rare, but when it does fall...
Snow always makes me feel so peaceful... and romantic. So many things get me burning horney, but snow makes me want to hold someone, whisper and cuddle under a blanket, naked maybe, but not sexual, just such proximity and heat between two people, maybe in defiance to the cold. Watching the flakes fall gently, God I could do it fur hours.
Then again, back in..I think it was '97 or so, I was visiting Charlie on the 8th floor of Yoakam and I got to watch a dumptruck slide down Dixon in reverse. Scary, but funny in hindsight...

That feeling kinda wears off if you live in places like Rochester, NY, where its snowing 6-8 months outta the year. But then again, its all about mentality and attitude to begin with, anyways. I lived there for the better part of 6 years, and I never knew what the heck that whole thing about 'seasonal affectiveness disorder' (constant snow depression, basically. :p) was about. Me, even the snowiest of days never got me down. Snowfall is still enjoyable, especially if you've got someone to snuggle up with.
... And bugger me if I'm not hankerin' for some winter, right about now. Shame I'm currently workin' in Texas, no less. Good weather, but they NEVER see snow. XD
I'll sleep well tonight. You werent even trying, and you put me in a romantic mood. :3

Oh hun... you are a romantic at heart too, it seems. *smiles serenely*
My good buddy Nelson tends to get the S.A.D. it seems. It's a mystery to me too, but I just try to be extra invasive when it gets cold and he turtles up. Between snowball fights, snow ice-cream, snow men, and making love on a pile of blankets under the light snowfall, lit by the passion of a nearby fire, I love the snow dearly.
As fur Texas, oh yeah. It has many charms, the great state, but snow isn't one of them I'm afraid.
Sleep well, sweet Beo. Dream of your beloved... *grins wide*

Only with those who put me at such ease, but a romantic at heart, indeed. :D
One of the coolest things i've always loved doing is waiting for a good few inches of snowfall to accumulate and then just getting silly with friends out in the backyard usually culminating in a game of tag, romping through the snow and pitching slushballs at each other. I could get my inner core heated so much that even in casual clothing and no winter jackets, I could run around in the snow for a good 20 minutes, come in soaked, steaming, and wearing a big ol' smile.
The best part about comming inside was that I immediately got to towell off, get naked, and cuddle up next to the heater in a big ol' down comforter like a big ol murring Beo-rrito. I tell you, its the simple wonders that somehow manage to invigourate me so well and so readilly.
The best memory I have of snowfall though,... Was when I was cold weather camping up in the Adirondack mts and stayed up late after 10pm to look at the full moon through the trees, midnight sky flecked with brilliant starlight. There wasnt a sound, not a breeze, and nothing moved. And even at nearly 5 degrees Farenheit, I was warmed by the perfect serenity of it all. Those are the moments to make you think that if God could be found at all, I would have turned around to find him/her/it standing right beside me, smiling.

Slept well the other night, shall do so again. Sweet dreams to you, Ash.
