Also, in the Prince's defense, he was in an enemy's dunjon (or however the Faerie spell it), and only semi-lucid. He probably wouldn't argue if you tried to convince him he was a feral in the first place.

Hmmm. Wonder how hard it would be to set up a chameleon spell; change your fur automatically as the background changed... It would be handy for getting out of a place like this.

If the situation weren't so dire…the part where they got sprayed (and the subsequent cursing) would actually be very funny…

Yup, that seems to pretty much sum up the issue that is the Crown Prince... the seeming complete and utter inability to see beyond his personal grudges and mistakes... I mean he over-ruled his Uncle's better judgement with a seeming teenage sulkiness, has stretched the bounds of his promise to stay in touch and his stated destination, seems to have been betrayed by his hand-picked personal magic user and now can come up with nothing better than an accusatory acknowledgement of someone coming to his aid... I understand he has been put through a piece of hell but still it seems not to have dawned on him that the whole thing may have been a little self induced by a seeming teenage style petulance and rebellion...

Thank goodness the Wolf Queen was there to divert WW5 as I suspect this may have been the moment that he came closest to treason in his life... I can only imagine that, for just a moment, the thought of changing mission priorities to say... recovering Bloodspear's noggin, would have been very tempting as at least it would keep a civil silence during its rescue... and for that matter may have smelled better as well!
