We had a guy with the most awesome trick in laser tag. It was nothing but a couple of drink cans and a holder with suction cups. The release was a monofililment that was impossible to see.

He'd put it on a wall and then hide behind an obstacle. Approaching enemy would step on the monofiliment and make the cans fall to the ground -- behind them. The enemy would turn, and the guy would jump out of hiding (he heard it too) and blast the enemy in the back.

The place finally banned him bringing it in anymore. But I thought it was an awesome device.
