History is written by the winners, but nobody's going to remember it without a catchy tune. Thus, every adventuring party is best advised to hire the best bard they can afford for their journeys, lest their conquests and victories be forever lost to the echoes of time. It's also important that your bard is a fast runner, so that if your party does meet an unfortunate end, they'll stand the best chance of making it out of the dungeon to sing of how well things were going up until that last bit when things went a bit pear shaped. Hopefully you'll have paid them enough to neglect to sing about that part.
