do you hate it because you feel lost in it? I spent my whole highschool years lost (didnt understand concepts or how to do like 90% of it) and hated math so much. felt so dumb.
i just drew the whole time cause I just didnt want to math. Drew a lot of good stuff though :) like these sketches here you did :3
in college now, i finally took the time to go over key concepts in algebra 1. taught myself using https://www.khanacademy.org/ (really great site, makes learning easy and fun). I also found a kick-ass professor that actually made math a POSITIVE subject for me. Before this, anything math related was so negative in my head.. fug.. I was always used to struggling and thinking I sucked and had poor self esteem in math.
I'm learning to really like math, its beautiful in a way if you check out some things like "the golden ratio" which has been used in art for centuries. Geometry also runs wild in art too! As well as nature. :)
you dont have to take my advice, but I just wish someone told me this stuff when I was struggling x_x;

The best drawings come forth in class :P hahahaha
Especially the ones you do right on the desk, they always turn out to the the best of the best and you can do anything about it
I used to really like math, I was never AMAZING at it, but like I understood things and a bunch of it was super easy, I used to friggen love ratios and geometry, finding surface area, fractions all that garbage. But once in high school its like every math teacher is just the worst teacher in the world, zooming through every equation without actually explaining anything, I had one teacher one year who would explain the formulas by saying "and then you just do the bang bang and the boom its done!" LIKE EXCUSE ME U DO WAT?! "the bang bang" OH. OKAY. (IM NOT EVEN KIDDING THO i am dead serious.)
I honestly think itd be a whole lot easier if I actually had a good teacher :/ but those dont exist here in math. The problem is that were doing trig right now and theres like 15 different equations to all do the same thing and none of them but like 2 make sense to me. And the teacher keeps giving us text book questions and work sheets without even TEACHING US THE STUFF ON IT. >______> and even if I make it through this class I am pretty positive im going to fail. In high school I got like 65-90s in every class and then 40-50 in math. summer school math every year, had a tutor one summer, and still, stiillllll nothing
Going to try that site though, I have to get through this somehow so I can just get into college :CCCC

yeaaah that was totally me too.. I went to summer school everryyy summer OTL
and a good professor or a bad one can COMPLETELY change the game. I had this one horrible math teacher in geometry.. he had such a poor attitude (now i'm realizing he was probably an alcoholic) and would shake his head and scoff when we did a problem on the board wrong. totally not okay -_-
trig was a nightmare for me. I think I know what you're talking about too. I think I made flashcards of those equations but they still wouldnt stick X_X im sorry!! that sounds really stressful. Just push push push through it, so you can get to your freedom: sewing! :D! i believe in you!

after highschool I jumped into community college
began working on my AA in fine arts. I have the credits for that completed now (only took a year). I decided I did not want to pursue art professionally (still wanders in my mind though X_X) so I decided to become a Pharmacist. So now I am completing my general education credits and pursuing another degree in Physical Sciences, on the path to transferring to a Pharmacy School. Pharmacists have to get doctorates now, so its gonna be a really long.. expensive battle.. but in the long term, its financial sustainability so I can fuel my passion for art materials and the like :)
college has been really busy but I love it much more than highschool! ah <3
