Songbird songs
When I got up this morning, the air was filled with songbirds of all types singing their little hearts out.
Then after my encounters with the turkeys this morning, I got to think of those songbird songs again...and what they really are saying.

Was bounced by chickadees a few times while deer hunting. (I sit very still.) One got under the brim of my cap and perched on my shooting glasses with it's body pressed against my forehead. Another time, one perched on the collar of my field jacket and called into my ear! I snickered and the doe napping next to me woke up briefly, then went back to sleep.

Man...makes me really miss cardinal's, robin's and blue jay's...all we have here are finches, sparrows, something that looks like a canary that is more of a brownish umber color...and Mocking bird's doing an interesting impression of car alarm and pestering the crows from their territory.
