Another of those colored sketch tests. Actually tried a feline this time. Scary. Real cheetah fans will, of course, see how off this is both with the anatomy and the markings but eh, still was kinda fun. Hehe. :D

awwww... don't be so critical of your work all the time. You do great arts and just by the many comments you get here you should know that by now. But yea that old saying... an artist is his own worst critic.
Anyway, your first drawing of a feline is adorable. I love his pose and expression. Just looking at it I'm waiting for the tip of his tail to start flicking. =P

All cute and fluffy and huggable. Nice to see you branching out into felines.
It has all the right markings for a cheetah (smaller solid spots, tear lines), but its body shape looks more like that of a leopard or jaguar. Here's a canine analogy for you: where a leopard or jaguar would be comparable to a Labrador retriever (or perhaps a wolf), a cheetah would be comparable to a greyhound. Does that help?

Hehe. Yeah I get what you mean with that. Cheetah's bodies are really....well rather odd. The reference I used for this guy/girl was of a younger cheetah though so maybe that's why the body seems off. I know the adults area lot more lean and have these tiny heads. Hehe. Cheetah are beautiful, but....strange a bit is their way. Thanks for the feedback! Still trying felines in spots. :)
