colour version of the jackal captain, now named Abasai.
He's stern but reasonable, and is very loyal to his superiors and the nobility. He enjoys testing his soldiers in various ways but he takes his role as captain seriously.
His tribe have a very strong tier system where rank and power is concerned. The classes of nobility, military, worker and slave are highly distinct from oneanother, but all connected. A soldier could find himself demoted to work class if he falls behind in rank, or disgraced entirely and sent to the slave class. But even within the slave class, there are ranks, and so it's possible for a disgraced warrior to climb his way back up the ladder after lots of service.
The Oasisi jackals have a strong warrior culture, although much of this is for show. they aren't a warlike race, and their military might is viewed by them to be more of an artistic expression, since power is so highly valued in their society.
Abasai is interested in observing the behaviour of his soldiers, and wants to become closer to them as a captain.

I like this design for a captain, he is a captain right? Warrior Jackals are something of a weakness of mine since well Anubis, God of the Dead in ancient egyptian mythology is one of my favorite gods. Though I prefer Aesir religion myself, ya know ancient norse god religion, Thor(never shuts up about battle)and such. I like his red and white coloration coded uniform too, the design looks flashy and showy and consistent with it being more of a power show since normally a soldier would try to conceal his true abilities. Any who, very nice piece!
