Comish - Peaceful Retreat
~~~
Realistic shaded commission for
Telkop featuring himself as his fursona, (the wolf,) with his mate,
Nameless_Angel the dragon, Namraphim!
Wallah, I'm so happy with this piece. I got to try out some new techniques as well as kind of tighten up some old ones. Tried some new texturing methods on the scales and wings, and went crazy with the highlighting, haha. I love how the forest turned out, like a warm, tropical retreat. So peaceful~
Thank you, Telkop! Hope you both like it!
I colour my lineart, as well as have applied a background glow to the figures that's the same colour as my highlight layer - you're possibly seeing that?
Trust me, I scour over all my pieces with a fine-tipped blade to ensure that I'm not even a pixel outside of the lines. It is the biggest thorn in my side when I see pieces, commissions in particular, where the person has coloured outside of the lines. For coloured sketches and speedpaints, that's totally fine as that's part of the process. But for a 'finished' piece? That's just lazy and inexcusable.
It's a HUGE peeve of mine. Alas, I would never do such for either my personal art or my valued commissioners! And thank you! :)
