MANDY'S REF SHEET!
What's up, Everyone?!
So I finally got around to doing a ref sheet for a few of my characters, and found it surprisingly fun to do! Admittedly 2+ years was well-past too long to put it off, even by procrastinating's standards, but why worry now, right? *giggles* The important thing is that it's done now and I've got at least two more in the old workshop as we speak!
*PLEASE NOTE* (Kitten does not have an actual workshop, be it old or otherwise.)
Well, there should be two more coming after this one, at any rate, at least to start with. I promise to work my butt off to try and get 'em out in a timely manner, though given my track record with updating and the like it may be a while before they're up for you guys to see. But I will work to have them ready sooner than usual (btw sorry for the blindingly pink background, guys. I'm still very green when it comes to the whole digital art/layering scene).
Right then! Without further ado, or...adieu? (ad-due?) --without further stalling for time: DETAILS!!
Full Name: Amanda "Mandy" Burroughs- feel free to groan at the pun. *giggles*
Species: "BunnyKatt" -a kind of cat/rabbit hybrid with the majority of feline traits being dominant over the rabbit ones; i.e. the opposite of a "cabbit".
Personality: Amanda is very intelligent and studious. She tends to be somewhat of an introvert, preferring books to parties--particularly ones about historical and fantasy lore. In addition to reading Amanda loves to write short stories about her friends. She is very thoughtful and often gets lost in her daydreams when she isn't actively concentrating on something. She has a difficult time reaching out to people, but is incredibly kind and compassionate, despite her social shyness.
Notable Markings:
-A colored fur "sock" on her right foot,
-Her left ear has a colored tip, and her right ear has two large blots accross from each other.
- She a large colored fur patch on the outside of each thigh.
-She has a heart-shaped patch on the upper part of her butt (left side)! ^w^~<3
(she has other assorted color patches too, but those are the main ones, so you don't want to hassle with remembering every little spot ^x^).
Other Info:
-She's had to wear diapers for most of her life (for medical reasons).
-She has a very, very esoteric sense of humor, meaning that most of her jokes die on arrival, much to her irritation.
-She harbors a borderline persecution complex, both over her incontinence issues...and the largeness of her ears.
-Her favorite movies are the 'Lord Of The Rings' Trilogy.
-Her favorite Ice cream flavor is mint chocolate chip.
-She enjoys Tai Chi and is especially fond of practicing the art of Chinese fighting fans.
And I guess that's about it! I hope that you all like this more traditionally fleshed-out intro to Mandy. Hopefully this will help to iron out a few of the details that some of you had been asking me about her character and design.
If you want to use Mandy, or any of my other characters in your art, I'd appreciate it if you would note me and get my permission first, pretty please!
In any case, be safe and stay furry, everyone!=^x^=
**HEY GUYS! I am now offering $5 CHIBI'S for my commissions page! If you are interested, please send a me a note and tell me so, okay? Chibi's are fully colored and shaded, and I'll even add some extras--costumes, props, etc.(within reason)--at no extra charge.

I know what you mean. Probably the hardest part is making the character look consistent on both sides. Most of the hassle is getting the pose right.
If you think it might help you, you can try using mine as a template to try and map out where the head/feet etc. are supposed to go (and the little color circle thingys).
Try making like a "stick-skeleton" to help with the pose (it's what I did). That way any ref sheet you make in the future will have the same basic layout...though you might have to change details like height and body style depending on gender and stuff.

I used Zoey's ref sheet as a template base (with her permission, of course). It's much easier to get the basics down and gives you much more time to focus on the details. Since ref sheets are mainly for the convenience of other artists trying to draw you, I figure it's okay, so long as you don't try and pass it off as (completely) original.
