I'm pretty sure he was too big to fit IN the tank for a few pages now. What is he now too big for is to even use several tons of solid steel as an armrest. Seriously, that armored vehicle is bending like tin foil under the weight of his large dense muscles... I wonder if he's bullet proof now?
And you got to love the expression of his grey canine companion. I'm sure by this point he's one of the few soldiers who isn't afraid of our unnamed husky, but even he'll have a panic attack with the thought of being a sardine in an easily crushable tin can.
Also, I notice we almost always use the grey canine as a measurement for how tall the big guy is. It's probably just a red herring, but it's a red herring that aligns with a plot direction I've been hoping for for awhile so I'm going to point it out.

Meatballs.... I'm not sure if that is a translation error, or an attempt at innuendo. Heh.
A "red herring" is a plot device used in story telling. Essentially, a lot has a destination, and you have elements of the plot that pull it along to that destination. Those elements are "plot hooks". Completely different elements, though, might appear to be leading the plot in a different direction but eventually turn out to be false. Those false plot hooks are called "red herrings". In this case, it's probably nothing you've done at all. My desire to see this little husky as a colossal titan in command of a brigade of lesser giants is causing me to create my own "red herrings" that would justify such an ending.
I hope that explanation doesn't cause more confusion. I often forget the small nuances of the language that I'm exposed to growing up in an English speaking country. The concept of "Red Herring" for instance, is a term I was exposed to though old Looney Toon cartoons; whenever they would do a parody of a detective story, you can count on them running across physical red herrings at least once.
