Digital Clone: Shadowkitmon
Most people cannot remember the day they were born. While others only had pictures. Me? Well, I remember that day. That DAMN day when I was created by that DAMN scientist! If you could even call him that. But I might as well start from the beginning...
I was created not naturally, but artificially. You're probably confused already because I'm a Digimon, and there's nothing "natural" about us. But let me clarify; I was not born in the Digital World like the others. I was made by this, human in your world. The sightings of Digimon were always reoccurring, and he wanted one. But this "scientist" did not want a Digimon partner, not a Digimon that could help him in lab work or do chores around his home. No, he wanted a Digimon...to...oh I can't even say it! Every time I think of it makes me want to-! I'm sorry...I'm getting off topic.
Anyway, seeing as how he couldn't gain access to the Digital World on his own, he decided to "borrow" a Digimon, or rather, her code. Renamon, a vixen of Digimon known for her speed and rather impressing looks, was used. The man spent countless hours "customizing" me, making every part of me "perfect." You're probably wondering how I know this? Well, let's just say when you copy a code entirely, you are fully aware of everything. I watched as he drooled over different designs for me, trying to make me perfect. I hated every second of every minute of every hour of it. After what felt like days, I felt a spark through my being. My code was being downloaded and digitized into the real world. As if the customization was bad enough, that part was just painful. As the pain subsided, I could feel my breathing coming through and the sensations around me. My eyes opened, blinded by bright lights. My eyes soon adjusted, and what do you think the first thing I saw was? That idiot man's stupid face with that stupid grin. I hated him so, he made me as a copy. I did not feel like my own being, no, I felt like a ripoff. Something that should not have even existed. He tried to feel me, but I gave him a swift kick down below. There was no way I was going to be this man's slave, just because he created me. I destroyed every device I could find in that lab. I wanted to make sure that man would never create something like me for that purpose ever again. I escaped as soon as I destroyed the main power core. I watched as the building exploded, nothing left of my existence.
Now what do I do you may ask? Well, its strange actually. While I gave up on humanity was the time when it was needed. I spent weeks in hiding, trying to sustain myself however I could. Stealing food was harder and harder, especially from the massive groups of people. Finding shelter was hard too. Every time it rained I was rained on. I knew this was no way to live, but I was never supposed to be alive. But then one day, I felt the rain subside for some reason. I look up, seeing a umbrella over me. Standing in the rain, out of the comfort of the umbrella, was a human boy. I know that some Digimon are paired with humans, but given my situation I pushed the umbrella back. Then, however, my nose twitched; I smelled food. I turned, see that the same human was still there, holding it. He handed it to me. Like I was going to fall for that trick; he was either going to move his hand back or walk backwards just to make me follow. I'm not some dumb animal. But he held it there, that steaming food that I had no idea what it was, smelling extremely good. I decided to risk it, reaching out for it. To my surprise, he never moved. Once I grabbed it, he let go, allowing me to have it. I wolfed it down, my hunger overtaking me. I was thankful for it, the first kind thing any human had done for me. He then talked to me, asking if I was alright. I never responded, but I never ignored him. He asked me if I wanted to come with him, saying his home had a spare bedroom that I could use. I huffed, turning away from him. Despite what I felt myself, I felt from him a kind aura. I stood, easily towering over the boy. I simply nodded as I followed him home.
To this day, I am still thankful for him. His name is Takashi, and he still lived up to his promise. I have my own room, separate from his, and was never bothered unless asked for dinner and such. Though I am still weary of most humans, this one is starting to warm up to me. My name is Shadowkitmon, and that is my story.
