My baby came home to me yesterday, fresh, new, improved, beautiful and better than ever!! ;w; I could not be any happier with her. Watch me make an absolute fucking fool of myself as I unboxed this girl at my YouTube channel! XP

She was, of course, built and rebuilt by the wonderful, the amazing, the incomparable chival of untamedfur!! If you haven't gone to her fursuit making account, then get the hell over there right now and commission her, god damnit!!! >:|

But seriously, though. The difference between Monk 1.0 and 2.0 is like night and day. I cannot get over how much Chiv's craftsmanship has improved in such a short amount of time. It feels like only yesterday I was trying on the first Monk, my very first fursuiting experience, at Anthrocon 2010 and I never thought I could love or become more attached to a suit than I did the first version of Monk, until now.

As wonderful and beautiful as I always did and always will think v.1.0 was, the improvements in the wearability, construction, facial features, visibility, ventilation, detailing, and style are impossible to miss. Everything about this suit SCREAMS comfort and I will be able to wear her for much, much longer periods of time.

She is comfortable to wear and even easier to put on! No more pulling my big fat head out of the mask and ruining my hair and makeup all the while! She hooked this girl up with a zipper that runs from the top of the back of the head all the way down the back of the neck, so I have easy access to everything inside of the mask! It goes on simply and easily and the zipper is virtually invisible when zipped up. The part of the inside of the mask that touches my face is lined with very soft fuzzy fabric (same fabric used for nose and lips/gums), so I don't chafe when suiting for extended periods.

The neck fluff is long and fully covers my chest and back -- something the old suit didn't have. The arms and hands are finally big enough to fit me, but still form fitting and feminine. She also added an elastic strap to put around the back of my shoulders to keep them from slipping down my arms, which was a big issue I had with 1.0.

And don't even get me started on the visibility. With the old suit, since the eyes were relatively small and were situated on either side of the head (as bull terrier's eyes typically are IRL), which gave it that distinguishable bully look, but also severely restricted my field of vision. I could only see out of one eye at a time by turning my head to one side or the other. But with the updated version of the head, I can see everything in front of me and around me with so much more clarity it is amazing!! And the ventilation is top notch, too. I can breathe through holes in the nose, eyes and mouth, so there is optimum airflow all around my face, especially when I move.

I could seriously just go on and on and on about all of the things I love about this suit. I couldn't be happier or more grateful for my super talented, awesome friend. I love you, Chiv!! ;3;
