Yup, the innuendo they were implying in this scene went over my head as a kid, I didn't realize what it meant until I saw it again years later.

Yeah I was about 4 or 5 when I watched it, I mostly saw the show in reruns as I was very young when the show was still airing first run. I wasn't even born yet when the series started.

Yeah the show first started airing in September of 1993, I wasn't born until July of 94. The earliest I remember watching it was in 97' when I was 3 or so. Boy I have a good memory.

Yup, so I mostly watched the show in reruns. The earliest I remember watching Nick was when I was about 2 years old, around the time Rocko and Ren and Stimpy were ending and KaBlam! and Hey Arnold! were the newcomers.

i watched Samurai Pizza Cats in 96 and did not realize at first it was an anime

Yeah, I remember watching the Ocean dub of DBZ when I was 3 or 4. Before Funimation took over and made it a big franchise here. I think I remember watching Pizza Cats too.

Yup, I saw some of the Ocean dub but I mostly watched Funi's in house dub of DBZ. I used to watch it with my cousin all the time. Good times!!!

That's probably the funniest scene of that episode, if not the whole series.

Yeah it's good, though this scene in particular is what makes it funny. Rocko's face when he realizes he's talking to Bev is of the wall hilarious, second only to the scene in Leap Frogs where he zips his eyes closed.

Ah yes. If I'm not mistaken, Leap Frogs didn't air originally cuz Nickelodeon considered the episode too raunchy. Stuff like this is why Rocko's Modern Life is my favorite cartoon above all else.

Actually i read that they actually did air it, but then banned it later due to the risqué scenes. Of course that didn't last long because they started re airing it on the Nicktoons channel years later, as I remember watching it many times on there.

Of course, some of the risqué stuff on Rocko is nothing compared to the all out gross fests that some of the Ren & Stimpy episodes are. It's no contest that R&S is more over the top edgy than Rocko IMO.

I feel that too, as it never went quite as all out gross like Ren & Stimpy did. There is a charm about Rocko's off beat yet subtle humor that still appeals appeals to me today, and Nick definitely had some of the greatest cartoons that i ever watched as a kid. Rocko, CatDog, Hey Arnold!, and the early episodes of Spongebob were my absolute favorites. The late 90's/early 2000's was the networks greatest era, hands down. I watched Nickelodeon more than any other channel, even Cartoon Network. I am lucky to have grown up watching such awesome shows as these, today's kids don't have anywhere near the level of quality shows that we had.

You got that right, Cheesy. Nick had some of the greatest animated series ever made, nearly all of them had a certain something that can't be beat. Shows like CatDog, Doug, and Hey Arnold! all had a charm about them, which cannot be matched by cartoons of today. I guess you could say that our generation had it better than kid's of today, the 90's and early 2000's were IMO the greatest time for places like Nick and Cartoon Network.

True enough, Cheesy. I'm glad to have grown up with 90's/early 2000's Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel/Toon Disney.etc. They all had nothing but good stuff on back then. It definitely shows how today's cartoons don't have that special something that made the cartoons from my childhood great, many shows like those you named have no heart put into them.
