This is the newest addition to our workshop. I have dubbed her Norma the Nelco. She is a brilliant vintage pink cast iron sewing machine. A Nelco R400. This model was produced in 1966, ya know, back in the day when shit lasted? She's pristine, and was ABANDONED *Gasp* in the parking lot of a friends work place. All she needs is a new belt for the engine and she's good to go! I couldn't believe she started up after some tinkering.
PS. Is it weird I name all my tools? And give them genders? Lol.

Thats a sign of quality. I collect vintage items ranging from the late 40's to mid 60's really honing in on the atomic Era. I have a blow dryer from that time era and it still works, its a champ and looks like a jet engine. Also light fixtures, and if ever I need encouragement, Rosie the Rivetor.
