In an alternate timeline, Booker and Elizabeth managed to escape to Paris - by piloting the entire city of Columbia there. Unfortunately they did not stop the Vox Populi, and Columbia was shattered by the revolution, sending single buildings and whole city quarters crushing onto Europe. Advanced Columbian technology fell into the hands of the Imperialist European Nations which were already preparing for war.
And this made sure the war would be known as the 'Great War'.

The Germans managed to rebuild crashed Motorized Patriots into 'Motorisierte Kaiser' or 'Motorisierte Kanzler' by the time the war began. The proiduction of own 'Kaisers' did not start before 1916 and there were never many of these in the battle. But where they were deployed they lifted the moral of the german and even the austrian troops, turning the tide in more than one battle. While British and especially French troops relied more on the miraculous vigors, Germany relied more on heavy gear and automatons.
The faces of these machines were usually the faces of Kaiser Wilhelm II, or his father Wilhelm I. But most popular among the simple soldiers were the one portraying the 'Iron Chancelor' Bismarck.
