The marketplace wasn't as busy as it was on average. Daphne Starr took her time as she wandered from stall to stall, picking out groceries. The blue-tongued lizard had recently begun to run low on ingredients for her recipes, so she'd chosen today to restock.
At one stall, an unfamiliar brand of milk was on sale. Milk was on her grocery list, so Daphne paused and examined the stock. Each carton had the brand name "Golden Fields" printed on it, right above a picture of an orange-and-green Mobian cow with blue eyes.
Hm. I guess she's the company's mascot or something.
Daphne took one carton from the shelf and glanced at the side, where she found a paragraph explaining who the cow was-- her name was Nancy Deuce, apparently-- and what she did for Golden Fields. Daphne read the description with little interest until she got to one detail that made her double-take.
This milk is made from WHAT?!
Shaking her head, Daphne opted to put the carton back and look for another brand to buy; using milk of such questionable origin for her cooking just wasn't a comfortable idea for her. Moving on, she approached a stall offering ripe, juicy tomatoes for sale.
Well, at least there's no ambiguity about how a tomato was made.
The lizard sighed as she began to select some tomatoes. She wasn't sure the image of Golden Fields's milk was going to leave her head anytime soon...
