Love the artwork. I really do. I only have minor issues with this and that's it. MINOR issues. All having to do with how each of them are holding something.
The female looks like she is holding the shield as if she isn't sure how to use it. Granted I see no strap for her arm to hold it in place but she is holding it like it's a garbage can lid, and I'm sorry for saying it like that. Yet the fact remains as such.
The male in the drawing has his hand too high on the shaft of his axe unless he is at rest. Which I'm not sure if he is or isn't since he almost looks like he is about to get into a fight in the drawing. I mean if you meant him to be in a more "relaxed" position and thus the hand placement then this issue isn't an issue at all.
Lastly is how he seems to be holding his own shield. The angle of his arm seems odd.. almost as if the handle on the back of that shield is at a downward angle when most shields I've seen are held across the back.
Beyond that every thing else is OMFG awesome. Like I said I love the artwork I really do. It's just the two things that drew my eyes more than anything else at first. I mean.. after the placement of hands and such wore off I got lost in the detail work in everything you have done. From the armor, shield, and weaponry to the characters as well.
Can't wait to see more of your artwork down the line FluffyHusky32.

First: I am the artist, not FluffyHusky.
Second, it is all based on DarkSouls the game, not real life. Not too terribly realistic at all. For example, the axe I am holding (the white wolf) is so obnoxiously huge and thick it would, more or less, be impossible to hold with one hand, let alone cut someone. In the game the one-handed animations swung by grabbing from the top and swinging down (especially if you used a heavy thrust). Or, if you chose to button mash, the axe gradually slid down your hand and your character grabbed the hilt.
As for the position of the shield, I drew it a rested angle so not to obstruct the character and the image.
For FluffyHusky: The "garbage can" look to her shield is because that is exactly how it was designed in the game, to hold with your hands, as obnoxious as that sounds. I looked at the front and back of it and it seems very unrealistic, but I drew it how it was made.
The initial image was supposed to be me (white wolf again) and Crescent (Fluffyhusky) surrounded by enemies. Cressy was supposed to be exceptionally frightened and I am getting ready to stand at attention.
Though, the image took longer than planned, and I rushed the image.
I hope this clarifies it up for you!
