Rather small bust which is covered by mane, has wider hips and her and from the elbow down is that of bird talons and her legs from the knees down are that of a lioness. Though she is half Eagle her wings are black and gold feathers to show her superiority over her kind.

Her hair is white and tied at the back, but rarely seen as she has her headdress on 90% of the time.

A very prideful creature, she is the first of her kind and is held in high regards. She holds her role close to her hart and is curious by man and woman alike. Though Nyx can be seen as an idiot at times, and people question why she is the Alpha, when Banishing Griffins she is cold and very threatening, willing to kill those who have betrayed her and the clan.

She is a legendary creature with the body, tail, and back legs of a lion; the head and wings of an eagle; and an eagle's talons as its front feet.

Because the lion was traditionally considered the king of the beasts and the eagle the king of birds, the griffin was thought to be an especially powerful and majestic creature.

The griffin was also thought of as king of all creatures. Griffins are known for guarding treasure and priceless possessions. In antiquity it was a symbol of divine power and a guardian of the divine.

Nyx is the only one who can decide who becomes a griffin an who doesn't, she is also the one who decides marring rights. If two if her clan members wish to marry, they must first seek Nyx's approval.
