A few weeks ago, I had posted a 'photo-op' of a rooster statue I saw at the 2007 edition of "Calle Ocho" (which is Spanish for Eighth Street). Apparently, a number of poultry statues (each one decorated differently) were strategically placed throughout the 'Little Havana' section of Miami, Florida for tourists to look at.
Having returned to "Calle Ocho" for the 2015 edition of the annual block party, I thought I'd go on a little 'rooster search', seeking out as many of the six-foot-tall statues as I can find...
This first rooster statue was placed in front of a Mexican restaurant on Eighth Street. - his red comb covered up with a fiberglass sombrero.
I'll have a few more rooster statues to show off, later on...
(BTW, a number of new fish statues [each one also differently decorated] had been unveiled in Pompano Beach, and I hope to take a few 'photo-ops' of them, and post them here, in the not-too-distant future.)
