Posting this in the middle of the day because it was just plain fun to draw and made me happy! Why drawing a cheerful fireplug of a mouse made me smile as much as it did, I don't know.

Jake Rabbit and I have long discussed Wynne, Minna and Sydney's parents, thus far referred to only as "Ma and Pa Patton". This is Pa Patton, now tentatively named Chet (short for Chester). Jake describes him as a "murine Buddha"; cheerful, implacable, easy-going. In the swirling maelstrom that is Wynne, Minna and their friends, he is an immovable boulder of calm.
