Not really; SeaTac has had a $15 wage increase for over year and the cost increases were insignificant. It's a talking point that conservatives like to make but when the data comes in, a lot of businesses can endure the labor costs seeing that American businesses pay little in labor costs compared to the rest of the developed world. Minimum wages found in every other developed country are higher than the U.S and, yet, their food and service costs as a ratio do not jump as much as conservatives tout. Minimum wage policies, as one element of poverty reduction in the west, have reduced wage inequality in Europe and Australia.
