This one cost me about $70 mostly because she's smaller than the standard armature. 9.5 inches as opposed to 12. If he releases a digigrade option buying the parts to make an armature costs about $90 alltogether. I'm a VIP so I get early-access to custom armatures.

He'll open custom design ability to the public in a couple months most likely. send in a drawing and how tall you want it. (I suggest between 8-12 inches for detail purposes) And he'll work with you to make one based off of the drawing. there's also the distinct possiblity that Digigrade legs at the very least will become a standard thing on the store in time. Once I get the final pictures for this, I'll be directing people to his Facebook so they can essentially add to the voices asking for "standard" digigrade legs.

No. It's against Digital Double's TOS to copy the Armature's peices. Besides I want to support the company hence directing people to the website where they'll eventually be able to get one of thier own. The man is not making a profit currently even at the price point he's selling them at. He needs people to buy them in order to prove to lenders that his product is worth mass-producing by injection molding. If he can get enough money loaned to him to start that process not only would the armatures be cheaper to buy they'll be much cheaper, in the long term, to produce. Right now they're 3d printed.

I want to support the creator. Not undermine him when he's given me so much in the way of a drawing aid that's actually useful.

The drawing was only so that he could match proportions and make peices to fit those proportions as part of a vip service he has offered to select customers. They are still his parts and his concept made possible only because of his tireless work on making the standard armature. None of it is mine to sell. I could if I wanted buy a handful of the armatures from him and resell them at a higher price and he's stated I'm allowed to do such in the past however I cannot take the peices he made and copy them and sell them. Just because I provided the drawing does not give me ownership over the design of the product he made for me. The parts he made for it are still a9 parts. And I'm okay with this. There is nothing about this arrangement that is bad in my opinion. I'm sorry to chew on this as I am but this is honestly standard for any artistic transaction. And artwork you buy from most artists here doesn't come with the copywrite of that artwork. It's your character but it's still thier artwork and they hold the copywrite to thier artwork.

I did not design the peices he made for the armature, he did and I have no problems telling people to go to him and get similar done. Because I want to support him and give him lots of business and I neithet wish to nor care to get a cut of the profits. It's not about me, at all. It's about supporting sa creator I admire. If there's any selfishness involved here on my part it's hoping to send so much business his way he can make his standard armature cheaper to buy and stay in business to make more awesome armatures in the foreseeable future.

Sorry for the long explanation but I don't want anyone else trying to make a profit off his hard work it's not fair. He can't mass produce these things.

That's AMAZING! You can kinda-sorta make digi legs with the legs and extra leg bits you can get, but it's not quite right. This is just so fantastic!

I was also thinking last night that it would be pretty cool to have a different kind of pelvis for a tail attachment - plus a tail attachment. You know, like the torso options?

I've had some thoughts on that I want to run by the guy but it would need a different pelvis most likely.Though im thinking of a clip that might work. His dragon beast now has a tail but we'll see. I have a weasel character (sunny) that would benifit most from a tail. I actually ran by the idea yesterday "how game are you for making a dinosaur armature?" and his response was "hurry up and draw one for him to add to the engine so he could force himself to work on hybrid parts. to further bridge the gap between the biped and the beast. So to say it will be possible eventually isn't too much of a stretch.

Again i talk with this guy almost DAILY. at this point. I have a total of twelve armatures i want him to make, Artemis is one of the first. (many of the others are plantigrade or human but different hight and body types from his default) I need more pictures which i'll be sharing on social media onceI get them. What I NEED is more people clamoring for tails, and furry parts. If he gets enough support on that front he might also be able to injection-mold digigrade legs which means even the furry option of the armature will be affordable for all.

Very nice!! It looks like you two did a great job together. Between the image you gave him to use, to his reproduction into this stunning artistic aid. If i had the money and my artistic skills were anywhere near a quality where i could send draw up a decent picture of anira (let alone from multiple angles i'm guess is what he'd need??) I would love to get my paws on one so i could better learn things like poses and angles and such so they aren't disproportioned as frequently.

actually i only needed to send in one picture, a front view and he made this from that. He's very talented in his own right and has a good eye himself.
