Vanita has gone through a lot of change too!
Orignaly was a fun idea to have Vant Gender bent. For a while she was called Fem Vant. How ever after a dispute i rather not get into, she became Vanita. and Lost all connection to Vant.
She's defiantly changed tho maybe not as much as Vant's new design but she has defiantly changed :V

Yeah, I'm the same way really, as much as about 90 percent of it makes me kinda want to gouge my eyes out when looking at it, when my brain returns to the present I always feel much more refreshed than before I started... I tend to not notice my own improvements unless they hit me in the face, lol.

Considering nearly everybody uses reference to a degree (I once saw a pretty pro artist copy a pose almost perfectly from a ref into their style). While I'd never want to RELY on refs entirely, I feel it's a good practice to help buff up on your internal visual libraries and so long as you aren't tracing for an official piece, there's really no shame in it :3
