Alternative title "Congratulations Donkey Kong 64 for your recent return"

In honor of Donkey Kong 64 being added to the Wii U Virtual Console, I thought I should draw the most memorable boss in the entire game, Mad Jack.

Anyway, for those who doesn't know, he is a boss from Donkey Kong 64. He used to terrify me when I was seven years old, as did his entire level, Frantic Factory. I mean, it seriously freaked me out because it's a sort of maze. The creepy (and nostalgic) music and the robot Kremlings with glowing red eyes who would give chase, only to suddenly be frozen in their tracks and have to rewind themselves, the general darkness of the level, and other aspects combined to make this place a torture for me, a place where you would not want to get lost as a child. I personally thought this level was creppier than Creepy Castle.

Gah, speaking of Mad Jack, he was so damn hard to draw because there are so few references of him, thought his hands didn't turn out as I wanted, I still like how he came out being my first time drawing him.

So in this pic, while still making it cartoony, I tried to capture a bit of the aspect of fear that this level always held for me when I was a kid.
